Peter Dias is a terrible doctor. I went with my mother in an ambulance because she is getting a severe rash, bug bites, SEVERE pain and there are bugs crawling under her skin (I, my grandmother, father & 4 sisters have seen these moving things come out). I wasn’t allowed to be with her because they had her on a bed in the hallway and made me wait in the waiting area. I wanted to be in the room to advocate for her bc I knew they would dismiss her symptoms. I emphasized that SHE IS NOT LOOKING FOR PAIN KILLERS!We need every possible test done to find out what is going on! Without me in the room he taunted my mother. “So this right here falls out of you, is this a bug to you?”. He was speechless when my mom was ALL FOR a drug test to be performed since he was trying to scare her by saying they’d take a drug test if she stayed! My mom is NOT on drugs. He continued nagging at my mom trying to mess with her head. Long story short my mom ended up leaving due to his negligence. Fire him now!

It amazes me that this person has been receiving nothing but 1 star reviews as far back as 2016, and yet still remains employed at St. Joseph's hospital. I had my experience with him several months ago when I went to the ER as I was having terrible back and sternum pain - to the degree that I couldn't sleep. I understand that an ER can be a tough environment, but considering the level of pain I was under, I really didn't need to hear a tone deaf comment like "What were your expectations coming here to the ER today?" or a flat-out rude comment like "It's not normal for a grown man to be openly weeping in front of me." It was as if he didn't even read any of the triage nurse's notes regarding my condition and had no regard for my level of pain. Like those who have stated in earlier reviews, his bedside manner was awful. No one wants to be talked to like that when they are in crisis.

Yesterday, I went to the ER for an abscess/fistula I have been dealing with since early January. So far, two different doctors have prescribed me with 2 different types of antibiotics that did help, but didn't fully heal it. I've had two doctors tell me exactly what it is. When I was in the ER, I was told by this man after I had shown him what was going on, that this big (squishy, soft) lump under the skin, that bleeds 30-60ml every time I sit town on the toilet, is "possibly just my pelvic floor". It's on my butt cheek, it's not my pelvic floor. I go for a CT scan. (Mind you, this was over 100$). They say it will be 30-45 minutes, for processing and analysis. He comes back in 20. "So we have good news... that there's no bad news". He says, " it isn't an abscess". The Hen goes on about Crohns Disease, saying its "most likely" not that either. He tells me " Its most likely just a big annoyance for you". I haven't eaten dinner with my family in 2 months because I can't sit down. Useless

Peter Dias was condescending and arrogant. He refused to listed to how my condition was presenting (all pointing to a gallbladder issue). Even after an ultrasound, he said... "good news, it's not your gallbladder, I think you may have an ulcer". He prescribed some antacid and sent me home. A few days later I was rushed to the hospital with an acute gallbladder that needed emergency surgery. I would not recommend Peter Dias under any circumstance.

Awful. Worst experience in a hospital. Was very close to discharging myself and going to another hospital. Obnoxious, arrogant, condescending and that's just the beginning. Horrible bedside manner. Non existent in fact. Felt like he spent last night 'rehearsing' his speech that he gave, most of which spoke in circles and had NOTHING to do with my situation. Doesn't listen, doesn't follow through. Both of us in the room were stunned at his behavior. Would NOT recommend.
