Dr. Ramona Szczerba, PHD

This provider appears at first to be caring and attentive, but soon after getting to know her it becomes clear she’s not. She’s quite judgemental, always finding subtle ways to make jabs at clients about choices they’ve made in their lives. She seems to have a need to feel superior, but it’s something worse than that, too. She almost makes light of difficult things clients have been through by treating their life events as episodes from a good drama series, seeming excited to hear more and even expressing that at times. She’s also quite insensitive about class-related issues, not seeming to understand that not everyone has had access to money their entire lives. But what bothers me most is that she doesn’t listen carefully (or consciously ignores details given). She’ll take part of what a client says and twist it to fit the interpretation she wants to give, missing crucial elements that don’t match what she’s saying, still not listening when being corrected about those details.
