Dr. Raul Aguilar, DPT

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr Aguilar! After being referred to him from my Pain Management Specialist, Dr Usman Zafar(The Best) I was very leery about going for PT. I have had many sessions of PT in the past, and I was always assessed by a Dr and then never saw him again until I was told I was done! I could not believe when I walked in, I was told that there would only be me and another patient and that the Dr. himself would be giving us individualized treatment and therapy! I have spent 5 mths going 2xweek and I have never felt better! I drive 1 hr each way to see him and would drive from anywhere to go to him! Dr. A listens to you, explains everything in detail, and creates a plan of exercises & massage for specific parts that need work! He introduced dry needling to me, and I cannot tell you how wonderful it is! I have been in constant pain most of my adult life and now feel great! I miss him and Labe, his Office Asst. already and would not hesitate going back!

I had a wonderful experience at Universal Health and Wellness, with Dr. Aguilar as my Physical Therapist. I made a complete recovery from my rotator cuff repair surgery. He listened to my questions and concerns and was able to explain things in a way that made sense and eased my anxiety of moving my arm and shoulder. Dr. Aguilar has a wide range of therapy tools and techniques that he uses, and adjusts his treatment based on the current circumstances. I never felt like I was just going through the motions and not getting benefit from the exercises and therapy. Dr. Aguilar will be my first pick for any future physical therapy needs.

Dr. Aguilar provided physical therapy for my long term back pain. I highly recommend him and have sent family members for treatment. He worked with me to increase my core strength and to reduce pressure on the bad disk in my back. He does an excellent job of helping to understand what the various treatments are intended to accomplish. I am very appreciative of his focus on helping me to be pain free. It may sound a bit strange but I looked forward to my P.T. sessions because I knew Dr. Aguilar was helping to reduce the pain and helping me to stay healthy. The facilities are extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. If you are in need of physical therapy I would encourage you to consider Dr. Aguilar.

My initial visit and posterior treatments were outstanding. I can't say enough about his professionalism, his diagnoses, his skilled staff, and therapies. My pain is totally gone and I will go back to him anytime in the future as needed. I travel from Old Town Alexandria to Manasas (1.5 hrs away) just to be treated by him. 5 stars rating from me.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Aguilar. He is a kind, experienced PT with compassion and empathy. I felt so comfortable in his office and loved all of the staff there. He's so easy to talk to, I truly felt he cared about making me better. I highly recommend him if you are searching for someone you can trust with your health - he is wonderful! If I ever need PT in the future, I will definitely be going to him.
