Raul Ortiz Jr, NP

He was the best NP I have ever had. I went into the hospital and left with my questions answered and any concerns I had he reassured me on.

Raul is one of the most caring Nurse Practitioners at the hospital. He always makes sure his patients are taken care of and he is always kind.

Raul Ortiz is one of the best NP I have ever seen. He explained everything and was caring about me. The ER was busy and he made it feel like I was the only patient.

Not invested in patient wellbeing at all. Treats his patients with condescent and neglects their rights. This nurse left me to wait for an entire day in the ER without ordering any of my standard medications for pain, and neglected me for hours while I asked for food as I hadn't eaten a thing that day and wasn't planning on being stuck in the ER. He did nothing to help with treatment of my pain, despite it saying on the wall of my room that I have the right to have my pain treated. I broke my back a year ago and now have chronic lower back pain. I normally take non-narcotic pain medications, however Raul treated me as though I was narcotic seeking and subsequently ignored me while I sat there in pain. His group of nurses left a bruise on my arm that was documented by my medical transport when leaving the ER. I have filed an ethical complaint for abuse against this NP for the way I was treated in Lovelace ER, as well as several other nurses present that evening, but he was the leader.

I would not recommend this guy to any one in my family. I went to the ER to be seen and this guy didnt do what I asked to be done for a back injury didnt have any xrays done or anything . He just had me take some pain meds and sent me on my way. In my opinion the guy is worthless. And I will never go see this quack again period.
