Rena Allgood, LCSW

I have avoided therapists for quite some time, due to less than desirable encounters with various providers. After receiving a suggestion & recommendation from a supervisor to see Rena, I decided to give it a shot. I literally could not ask for a better provider. She has the ability to make you feel at ease, as if it were just a conversation with a friend, while still providing a professional environment. Having dealt with trauma throughout childhood as well as professionally, I'm not the quickest to open up. She is able to tailor her approach to meet the needs and personality of each individual.In closing, I highly recommend Rena as a provider. I believe anyone who wants to take an active role in their recovery would do well to reach out to her. I feel you can't go wrong in doing so.

I was first introduced to Rena through a friend which led to individual therapy. I was first apprehensive. I’ve always had trust issues and I’ve been building my wall for 50 years. I saw a therapist during my teenage years and thought “what can she really do for me at this age, but one last time”. As we spoke through divorce, my son, past interracial relationships, and also same sex relationships, I never felt judged. It took a minute for me to be open, honest and real. Once I did what I needed to do, she could do what she does best. People now say to me that I smile more and I seem happy. The sad part is, I didn’t know that I wasn’t smiling. I always knew that every person had potential but now I know for myself that I have potential too. Just like with anything, you will get out of it what you put in it. It’s never too late. You are worth it and you are enough. If you are truly ready, she is FABULOUS!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Rena. When I first started see her I was dealing with a lot of mental health issues. Grief over the death of my son. I was also dealing w/trauma. I didn’t think I would ever feel better. I promised my partner I would try therapy. I wasn’t a person who would open up about my mental health issues. A family member recommended I try Rena. I can say without a doubt Rena has been my saving grace!!!! After just a few visits with her I new I was where I was supposed to be. After seeing her for awhile I started to feel like there was hope again. Both of us are still working hard and I’m going to heal. Today I talk to anyone who will listen about the importance of mental health. I have recommended her to family, friends. I recommend her to anyone struggling and needs a caring, hardworking therapist. Give her a chance to help you. It’s an awesome gift to give yourself. She can be your saving grace too!!! I wish I could give her 10 stars.

Horrifying and this excuse of humanity has no shame or ethics. Avoid at all costs and extend her and her crew ZERO TRUST.

Rena seems to be hiding out in Hope Family Health Care in Westmoreland. You should not trust her and if you go there, take and document everyone's names, record all your sessions or encounters and keep track on all your records, not just the papers you're handed upon checking out. Her purpose is to code billable diagnosis which she will do based on virtually nothing and do so with malice to harm you.

Horrible experience, not recommended.
