I don’t recommend using Rita Bazeley as a therapist. I was encouraged to go to therapy by a mentor of mine so I met with Ms. Bazeley and she agreed to work with me. But every time I would sit with her, she never seemed prepared and had no plan for our sessions. After spending hundreds of dollars every week, I addressed my concerns with Ms. Bazeley and discovered that she had a temper. She was very aggressive and snapped at me, only to later apologize. Despite her behavior, I didn’t give up on Ms. Bazeley. But I decided to ask my mentor to join us for some added support. But during the session, Ms. Bazeley went off on my mentor too. Despite him being very respectful, when giving his input. She was very defensive, repeatedly interrupting my mentor and even raised her voice. Then after the session, it seemed like the therapist knew that she crossed the line and, as a result, just quit. Feeling rather duped, I felt that it was only fair to ask for a partial refund and Ms. Bazeley refused.

I would not recommend her. She is cold, judgmental, mean spirited, cutting, and literally insulting in every session, so I stopped going. She interrupts every time I try to speak by raising her voice and shouting over me. She doesn't have the capacity to listen, have empathy, respect, or any maturity. Her "You" statements and finger pointing is not only completely unprofessional, but constantly antagonistic. What the other gentleman writes in his review of her is absolutely accurate. She'll talk about how much she "loves" her grandson, but seems to distain others.
