Intimidating presence
When I was Rivka’s patient I constantly felt judged and not listened to. She misgendered me at every turn, even after multiple reminders and multiple conversations about hormone therapy. She belittled my problems and made me feel foolish at every turn. She took advantage of the fact that I knew nothing about therapy. It wasn’t until I told friends about my experiences that I learned that her behavior is not the norm and is harmful.
