I have been seeing Dr. Newell for several years. His help has transformed how I see myself and how I engage with the world. The burden of shame I carried into adulthood from a chaotic childhood left me unable to connect with my emotions or speak about the pain I was trying to suppress. His wisdom, willingness to speak difficult truths, expertise, and patience have given me the time and safe space needed to view myself and the world from a different perspective. Not the guy to see if you don’t want to be told the truth or do the difficult work that leads to healing.
