Dr. Rego has been a breath of fresh air in Lakewood Ranch. My family and I started seeing him this year and will never go to another OD. He takes the time to explain things in a way that is easy to understand. He's now moved to Visionworks in Lakewood Ranch which is great because it's so close!

Dr Rego failed to properly diagnose my meibomianitis and its relation to my dry eye symptoms. I was the last patient of the day and its seemed as though he wanted to just send me off. I was told to use wetting drops which did nothing to relieve my symptoms and resolve the underlying problem. I couldn't get an appointment with an ophthalmologist despite my sudden blurry vision. I have lost confidence and cannot recommend Dr Rego or Sarasota Eye Associates for the priority given to their patients
