While office staff were fine and appointment went as scheduled, the actual visit with the doctor was very brief (~5 minutes). No check for glaucoma or cataracts, no examination of eye health. Perhaps they rely on their “digital” imaging of the eye.Tried two prescriptions for eyeglasses and both were inadequate. Yes, they provided the 2nd attempt at no additional charge.Went to Dr. Lewis because his practice is covered by my insurance carrier. Ended up going elsewhere and paying out of pocket to get a proper prescription.

Worst eye care place in Las Cruces! The employees are incompetent and rude. They are also putting lives at risk by not wearing masks. Not a single employee wore a mask, and they didn't care if their patients did either. We asked for the eye doctor to wear a mask while she was with us so that we wouldn't be risking our lives, but she refused to do so, even though she had one in her pocket. Never go here, you are these employees don't care about anyone, since they are putting their patients lives at risk by not wearing masks. Hopefully they will go out of business.

My kids had appointments at Family Eye Care on N. Main this afternoon. When we walked in, we noticed immediately that not a single staff member was wearing a mask, and neither were the majority of the patients. When an employee took my daughter in for her exam, I noted this fact. She pulled a mask out of her pocket and showed it to me. I asked her if she would be willing to wear it while she examined my children. She responded, "We have our rights. We don't have to wear them. We've talked to our lawyer." Just to make sure, I clarified, "Are you saying you won't put that mask on while you see my children?" She replied, "I don't want to. If you're uncomfortable, you can come back another time." Presumably, she meant when the virus is no longer a threat. We left. If you think Covid-19 is a hoax, you will feel at home at Family Eye Care.

No recommendation for any reason they are poor less and don't care if your child prescription is current and you need your child's glasses fixed after being broken. It took multiple phone calls thru the Davis insurance for them to finally say that she has coverage but not eligible for replacement of frames due to not having a medical incident for the frames being broken. I strongly and will not go back nor refer anyone to them.
