Dr. Roma Palcan, PHD

Dr. Palcan is an incredible asset to the VA Mental Health program. She is true, kind and sincere. She takes the time to listen and understand each and everyone’s individual needs. She is truly compassionate about her work as I could see in our sessions. I didn’t feel as if someone was just quoting some mumbo jumbo from a psych book. I felt that Dr. Palcan was 100% invested to the time we had. She listened intently and was able help guide me through my issues. I have seen other psychologists and Dr. Palcan is on the next level. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is seeking help in her field. She has mastered her craft and is amazing at what she provides!

I am a veteran and was treated by Dr. Palcan at the Bay Pines VA. I attended a number of group sessions, She was of immense help to me. Dr. Palcan was (I do not know if she is still with the VA) very dedicated to the veterans. She has a presense about her that I could not explain, but the calming effect was immediate. After I completed the group sessions, her door was still open to visits, which I did often.

Dr. Palcan was recommended by a friend of mine to see my 21 year old daughter that is a student at USF St. Pete. Her 1st scheduled appointment had to be cancelled by the office manager, mistake in scheduling, her 2nd appointment my daughter was running late called and the voicemail said the office was closed. 3rd appointment scheduled for today was just cancelled because Dr. Palcan will not be in this afternoon. My husband and I are just happy that our daughter is not suicidal. Would not go!

Dr. Palcan is an exceptional psychologist. She was very understanding and worked at my pace, and her calming presence made me feel comfortable enough to open up. I feel like I know myself better and am healing every day thanks to the help that she has provided.
