Dr. Samuel Singleton, OD

Myrtle Beach is lucky to have such a knowledgeable doctor in our area. He is thorough, takes his time and explains everything to you. I always feel lucky to have found a doctor who understands someone who has had two corneal transplants.

Personally, and very detailed

Worse than Terrible. Had to go over four times for exams each time waiting over an hour. Prescriptions were not correct. Had to wait well over 6 months to receive. Charged for dual lenses (near & far) when only wanted far sighted glasses. The glasses and frames still don't fit properly. Went back numerous times for adjustment and still no good. They overcharged us. He tried to talk me into cosmetic surgery..really? I'd go to a surgeon for that IF i wanted it. They tried to sound as if it was a great deal (over $1000) and results not guaranteed. They are all about the money and don't care about their patients. Scum of the scum. Am writing this as a forewarning to all. Almost anyone is better than them!

They are EXTREMELY overpriced. They try to sell services you don't want or need. They initially appear to be professional, but it's an illusion, it's all about the money. They don't care about the patients. There is always a long wait. Had to come back three times for an eye exam. Eye glasses take forever to get and had to send back numerous times. They are a ripoff. Go elsewhere ... anywhere else!

Dr. Singleton is fabulous. He is warm, compassionate very patient. I have a unique eye problem due to a rare neuromuscular disease. I’ve been round the world and through the mill with all doctors, particularly eye doctors. I don’t think it’s fair that some other eye doctors keep you upward of five-hours going from room to room to room. Apparently Dr Singleton has more respect for his patients. Dr Singleton answered technical question without getting irritated. The staff; Any, Iris and Craig are so helpful and convey concern and warmth to the patient. Three-Snaps-Up! I’m delighted.

typically do not leave reviews, especially for a local business however the office manager Gwen is incredibly rude that I feel necessary to warn others before using this eye clinic. 1st off you will be ripped off, their prices are outrageously high but this was my 1st experience getting my 2 sons glasses so I did not price shop now that I have WOW, never again. 2nd our appointment was rescheduled not once, NOT twice BUT THREE TIMES before we were seen, 3rd when we FINALLY reached our appt day WE WAITED FOR OVER 2 HRS to be seen! We also ordered a red frame for my son and blue was given, we were told within a few weeks the correct frame would arrive today I was told by the office manager GWEN well I will tell you what the manufactor told me it's on a cargo ship lol, lastly GWEN told me there is a 1 year guarantee on my frame that it my kids break in anyway they will replace for 1 year well my son took a header had recess the frame broke and lenses scratched all over. Dr. Singleton is beyond incredible. Superior staff, wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. I appreciate how much time Dr. Singleton took to go over my eye condition clearly and the treatment options. What a great experience as a first timer with him. Highly recommend. Craig, who is also a part of the Singleton eye care team, deserves a shining star for helping me get my, very expensive, eye medication covered under my insurance. He went miles beyond the extra mile, working through his break and stayed after hours. I can’t praise Craig enough. The whole team at Single Eye Clinic is beyond compare.
