The appointment went well. It was not rushed, and she was able to explain my medication needs in a way I could understand.

Ms. Guerra has a terrible bedside manner. She did not bother to make eye contact or acknowledge me as a patient, did not even introduce herself and just clicked away on her computer while going down a list of questions without asking me why I was being seen. When I asked if she was the doctor, she rudely said, "yes" but I later learned she was a physician assistant. When I tried to speak to her she said, "I'll get to you in a minute, I'm talking to my nurse" and dismissed me, very rude. I was already anxious about my high blood pressure and she did not make me feel comfortable or welcome at all. If you want someone who cares about people and patients, do not go to this practice!

She was determined to find the answer to my health issues & what is best for me as an individual patient. Her knowledge of all aspects of health issues was impressive, & because of this I the patient became more aware of what was needed to care for myself also. I have recommended her to several people , due to their frustration with their unresolved health issues, such as mine. I believe she treats all patients the same as I described which I received with every appointment.

Santa De Oliveira was a PA at my husband's cardiologist's office in Lakewood Ranch. He was having issues with PVC's (skipped, irregular heart beats.) She took it upon herself to change his beta blocker medication from 2x's a day to 1x a day! She should have known it was a 12 hour medication and consequently, after a month, he was not getting enough of the medication throughout the 24 hr time frame. Things got worse for him & he ended up in the ER. This was totally unaccetable and upsetting!

I think Santa De Oliveira is a wonderful physician Assistant, she is professional, organized, caring and very thorough. I am confident in her medical care, and enjoy going to my follow up appointments.
