Sarah Beaton, PA-C

I met with Dr. Beaton for about 5 min. She was very quick to write me a prescription without really knowing my medical history. Sarah did not ask if my husband and I were trying to conceive, she only asked how long the acne was there and if I was currently breastfeeding. She did not go over the possible warnings or side effects with me before prescribing the medicine. After purchasing the prescription and reading the insert, only then did I find out it could potentially harm a fetus. With my 3 former pregnancies I was high risk and putting something that might hurt a baby is the last thing I want to put on my skin. The medicine is US FDA pregnancy category C: Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans. I should not have been prescribed this!! This type of medical negligence is disgusting and I would never trust Sarah Beaton with my health or skin!

Sarah Beaton is a talented PA Dermatologist who now practices at Hawaii Dermatological Associates in Kailua. I have been treated by her since my dermatologist retired. She is a straight forward person who provides SUPERB AND THOROUGH CARE. She is a dedicated professional who is obviously extremely concerned about the health of her patients as she guides them to resolve skin problems and to improve skin health. BRAVO!
