Amazing, state-of-the art care
I have been seeing Sarah Sato for a while now, and she has really turned around my Type 1 diabetes care. Whereas my previous endocrinologist was much more traditional ("here's some insulin, go take it"), Sarah has educated me on the benefits of SGLT2s, GLP1s, and other useful medications for tighter control of my diabetes. She takes the time to explain new treatments and does it with such a great, positive attitude. I cannot recommend her enough, and that's after 30 years of living with this disease. She's incredible. Also, a huge shout out to the staff at the Alpine Center. Type 1 diabetes is a paperwork nightmare when it comes to dealing with your health insurance company. The staff has fought hard with the dreaded "prior authorizations" and even successfully appealing denials of prior authorizations. I'm so grateful!
