Dr. Sarin Siriamonthep, OD

Knowledgeable, meticulous and kind

I saw Dr. Siriamonthep for my annual eye check-up. It was the first time I had met with her, and I was hoping she would be easy to talk to. She was wonderful! She was kind and patient with my questions, answered all very thoroughly. She explained in detail about my possibly needing cataract surgery in the future, but she alleviated any fears I had. She wants me to come back and see her in three months because of a fluid condition I may have in my eyes. I left the office feeling happy and in good hands. All of the staff there, from checking in, to eye tests, to pictures of my retinas, were all very polite and made me feel comfortable. That makes a big difference when a patient is nervous! Thank you!

I went to South Shore a week ago to get a new prescription for contacts and glasses. I ended up seeing Dr. Siriamonthep and she was very thorough. She took her time to make sure the prescription was clear but also not too strong. She also was very good with explaining anything I could’ve had a question about.

The staff was courteous and got me an appointment on an emergency basis. The doctor was helpful, friendly, and more importantly, correct in her diagnosis of shingles that affected my eye. She was thorough in her exam and I highly recommend her.

I visited Dr. Siriamonthep at South Shore Eye Care, 2185 Wantagh Ave Wantagh. She was rushed and rather curt. Didnt give much time and gave me one word answers. I dont trust the script she wrote in a confused mixed up rush.

I went to see Dr. Siriamonthep to get glasses and contact lenses. She really took her time to make sure my prescription was accurate and comfortable for me. She was very thorough with the exam and she took the time to explain everything to me. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Siriamonthep was very thorough and helpful. I was worried about my eyes since I haven’t gotten them checked in awhile, but she put my mind at ease.

Dr. Siriamonthep was everything I was hoping for when going to my appointment. First of all, she's a very kind and thorough doctor who clearly cares about her patient's wellbeing. She took her time to understand my issue, how it came to be, and any other potential related factors. Once the very comprehensive exam was completed, she was excellent at putting me at ease, explaining in detail and with great honesty the issues I was facing, and how to address them (and without being patronizing with complicated medical lingo!). The treatment she recommended worked perfectly well, and I even was called to check whether the treatment was as effective as anticipated, and if I had any questions. Nice to see doctors still care in 2021! I would strongly recommend Dr. Siriamonthep for any eye issues you may be facing.

I went to Cohen's since it was near work and it had been a while since my last eye examination. I explained this to the doctor, hoping she would spend more time checking my eyes. She was terse and told me that "there is nothing wrong". When I asked her questions, she replied with one word answers and said she isn't a regular doctor here and to come during the week.
