This provider used our predicament and emotional state to “recommend” a fragrance and waterproof sleeve for 35 dollars that could be purchased online to keep the cast from smelling bad over time. What he did NOT disclose was that he was the owner of said fragrance company. He also did not disclose that the clinic (Cohen Children’s) offers a waterproof casting option. He was more focused on his role as a salesman than as a medical provider and unethically comingled both roles to push his product.

While playing hockey my son was checked & had severe shoulder pain. We took him to his primary who referred us to this Nurse. We were afraid of a torn rotator cuff or fracture. X-rays were taken & his professional opinion was a bone contusion. A week later my son was still in pain so I took him to see a doctor, X-rays were taken that revealed an AC 2 Joint Separation, MRI shows tear. This guy could not get the right diagnosis if it smacked him in the face. BTW X-rays he took had same.
