Shana has poor boundaries and poor judgement. Her heart is big and while that’s good, it clouds her ability to be professional. She needs to do an honest inventory about her beliefs regarding societal expectations and institutions as well as gender roles before offering advice (…errr inappropriately interfering with and changing her clients’ life paths). I would not send impressionable young people to her as she made drastic errors during our years together that uprooted and changed my entire life and my family’s lives. She crossed boundaries and behaved in toxic ways. At one point, she convinced me of memories and traumas that didn’t actually happen. I was naive and followed her advice for years, unfortunately, and it has left years and years of messes that I am still paying for. My advice for her if she reads this is to listen to her client instead of trying to change her client to be more like her or more like what she defines as “the norm.”
