I saw Shannon for a period of time of a few months. Looking back on my time spent with her, I feel abus d. Shannon told me I was lying (I was not.) I lost trust in her in that moment. She told me that my self-defense against my abusive partner (why I was there) was abuse. It's not abuse when I have to defend myself. Shannon says she specializes in things and I could not see how tha could be true. She is not very open-minded to ideas other than hers. I have gotten a different counselor.
