Dr. Galani treated me w/ skepticism/ doubt. She led me to believe that I was imagining a knee injury. For the 2 minute exam, I sat on a table & pushed against her hand- that was it. She said I was fine, that I’m young, & I could have an x-ray “if I wanted.” I expressed concern & requested an MRI. She irritatedly told me it was pointless: “No insurance company will cover it anyway. You’re fine.” She finally agreed to request it and mislabeled for my left knee instead of right. After the MRI, I called many times w/o response. 10 days later, they told me I had no ligament tears so I was fine. I had to specifically ask that they take a second look at the MRI because I was in pain. After a begrudging second look, they said that I might have a small tear in my knee and they could “give me a shot, I guess.” Took MRI to get a second opinion. They said I have a significant meniscus tear & the MRI notes were “nonsensical & irresponsible.” I am having surgery Friday with the new team.

Sharmi Galani PA was just great. I had a visit with her just the other day. The staff was able to get me in prettt quick to see her for my lower back pain. Sharmi was very pleasant and welcoming upon meeting me. She was very patient focused and really showed a an effort on diagnosing my issue and then putting a plan together. It was so refreshing to have a healthcare provider to work collaboratively with me. She put a great plan together for me and gave me the confidence that the plan we put together will really help address my chronic lower back pain. She has a great side bedside manner. She has a great mix of professionalism, friendliness, being approachable, and a sense of inquisitiveness.
