I saw Dr Getz when she was practicing in Chicago for an ADHD assessment. The fact that she had availability for this 4 hour appointment within 2 weeks - when NO other clinic had availability for 4-6 months - should have been a red flag. This assessment was poorly done and had led to significant, life-altering outcomes for me. It was obvious in her summary of my background that she was not listening and had ample preconceptions. Despite the test scores indicating EXTREME ADHD, in her opinion, I was just “depressed and anxious”. Perhaps Dr Getz is unaware a person can have multiple mental health conditions or depressive symptoms from undiagnosed ADHD.For further examples of how dismissive she is, just look at her Wood TV interview where her first reaction to a question about the rise in youth mental health issues is due to “Dr Google.” She is more than willing to take your money before self-righteously saying she doesn’t believe you.

Terrible experience
Dr. Getz was condescending and selectively ignored our input and our child's symptoms. To add insult to injury, she has chosen to be out of network and her office essentially lied to us. Do not waste your time or money with Dr. Getz.

Very disappointed and frustrated to say the least!
My spouse, child and I drove 3 hours to have her hand us questionnaires that took a total of 2 hours for my spouse and I to fill out. She should have mailed them, we were exhausted after the 3 hour trip and had no idea about these forms. We filled them out in the crowded waiting room. We were very uninformed. She was more concerned about trying to be comical than discussing Autism with us. 'I'm just waiting in my office watching the clock, haha,' referring to waiting for a therapist that was working with my child to finish, taking longer than she had expected. She had the questionnaires my spouse and I filled out in her hands and she said 'I'll hand these over to my staff to score, so I don't have to'. We feel she did a hasty job, as well as within her report there are pieces of information that are not representative of our child, prompting the need for a second opinion. She never called to explain her report and findings nor any help finding treatment. DO NOT SEE HER! LAZY!
