Always get your records so you can read what your “counselors” label you as. Diagnosis should come from doctors after the correct assessments instead of personal opinions. Some are helpful and have helped me realize a lot about myself so I’m able to correct patterns and behaviors. This lady however, threw me under the bus to social services because she saw me while I was in an abusive relationship and apparently didn’t believe I was capable of maintaining stability. So my abusive ex husband was given primary custody of my kids, my 7 year old son had to attend therapy for a year and a half because shortly after their removal he started displaying behaviors associated with attachment issues. This month he broke his teachers 900$ Apple Watch during an outburst. I’m just numb at this point. I have been for over 3 years and I’m pretty sure that would mean her opinion of me having histrionic borderline personality disorder, is inaccurate. Nailed the PTSD and chronic major depression though.

She really cares! She is a great listener, and wants to help you get better! Very enthusiastic about her profession, and changing lives! She will give you the tools you need for recovery. I've only seen her a few times, but I am so happy I found her. I look forward to our sessions. I had given up on counseling for many years due to frustration. It seemed that I didn't have much success, and it was a waste of time and money. I am happy to have hope again.
