Dr. Sharon Shrensel, PSY.D

I had a series of meeting with Dr. Shrensel together with my wife some 30+ years ago. It was a "marriage" therapy. At the end Dr. Shrensel told me that my wife's issues cannot be fixed and that we will end up with a divorce. I was hoping for the better, but, 30+ years later - the marriage is over. "Shrensel was right!"

I didn’t end up ever meeting Dr Shrensel. When I first reached out to meet/make an appointment, she text back within a day or so. She kept expressing how busy she was, and even suggested another Dr., but I was patient and still interested. A month later she offered me a time that was inconvenient for me. And a month after that I reached out asking availability and indicating my own flexibility. We settled on a date/time finally after 2 months of texting. When I asked a question about insurance she, for a 3rd time, suggested I look for another Dr. This came across quite rude and like she never wanted a new client in the first place. I asked her to be direct with me if that was the case. She came back with a text at 4:45am that said: “you are right. I’ve decided to offer my few remaining hours pro bono to health care workers. I appreciate your inquiry and sensitivity to my work schedule.” I guess I appreciate the honesty, finally, but so disappointed in her professionalism.

Sharon helped me work through some difficult problems and helped guide me through them with examples, books to read, and helped me bounce back at a pace I could handle. She answered my texts after hours and used Venmo which made it easy to pay while keeping track of visits. I would definitely recommend Sharon to friends and family.
