Signey Olson, WHNP-BC

Signey is an amazingly compassionate and understanding healthcare provider. Her knowledge and professionalism are nicely balanced by the positive vibes she radiates a her ability to put people at ease. I was referred to her for gender affirming HRT by my therapist a little more than a year ago. I was nervous going in because I had been treated poorly by another medical establishment during a previous attempt to obtain hormones. Within a minute of meeting her, I knew that I was in a safe, space.

Signey Olson is my provider for gender affirming care (hormone replacement therapy) as well as my GYN care. She's knowledgeable, caring and incredibly inclusive and accepting, which makes for a great and comfortable experience. I would definitely reccomend her for transgender healthcare as well as for routine gyn care.

Found Signey when I moved to DC from the west coast after a friend recommended her practice. I was a little confused at first by the organization's name, Columbia *Fertility* Associates, as I have no desire to get pregnant. But it turns out, they do a lot more there. As a transguy, I was looking for someone to continue prescribing hormones that I had already been on for years and do the occasional Pap smear. Overall it was a really smooth process to be seen and I will definitely be going back!

I see Signey for my annual gynecological exams and have had fantastic interactions with her each time. I have a couple chronic conditions which usually get glossed over, but she took the time to make sure she understood my history. You can tell she really loves educating people and finding small lifestyle changes in addition to meds (I specifically sought her out because I was tired of being prescribed the same things that weren't working). Also gave me some great referrals for a therapist!
