On Tuesday I scheduled an appointment with this therapist, at 1pm on a Saturday and was contacted the next day (Wednesday) by a receptionist saying that time isn’t available and to move my time to 11 am on Saturday, no problem, I did….filled the necessary forms out that Friday… Saturday morning I’m in the Telehealth check a minute before my session was due and I waited in there for the therapist to join the entire hour from 11am to 12pm, she was a no call no show. I called the main phone line and was only met with a voicemail. Come Monday I don’t receive any call or notification, I had to call and asked why my appointment was missed and was met with “The therapist has an emergency, the receptionist don’t work the weekend” so no one was professional enough to communicate that the session was going to be cancelled, or even call after the fact to apologize for wasting my time…to add insult to injury I scheduled another appointment and when I went into my client portal I had a BILL for said appointment in which I should have never received in the first place ! I called the facility the next business day at 830am & 855am to inquire about the bill to no answer, just the voicemail , I felt like maybe they had callerID and wasn’t answering because it was me(I could be wrong about this), so I called from a text app number at 9:33am and got an answer on the second ring. I inquired about the bill and was told that it was an automated bill and to disregard it… Again professionalism goes ALONG way. Automatic or not this almost a week after the therapist was a no call no show, surely in a weeks time frame you could have canceled that bill or even reached out to inform me that hey, you will see a bill, it was automated but we are actively getting it removed so don’t be alarmed, however that wasn’t the case, then to have a less than 24 hours cancellation policy that results in a fee if the client is a no call no show but what happens when the therapist is the one no calling and no showing, can we request a fee for our time being wasted ?!!!…. This experience has completely left a bad taste in my mouth about this therapist and I had even seen her, and needless to say after I inquired about the bill and was told to just disregard it, I then cancelled the second appointment I had scheduled… I really wanted to give this therapist a chance, because for my issues, looking at her experience, and education the longevity of her practice figured she’d be a good fit… definitely was not the case and I’d advise if you value YOUR time, are is seeking professionalism, or just good communication, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU !
