I went to Spencer on recommendation from my orthopedist who is a big fan of his. I had plantar faciitis, & for months I was trying different over the counter orthotics but nothing worked, so my dr told me to go to Spencer. I only wish I had gone earlier - as once you use a pair of made-for-you othotics, you will never go back to the over the counter ones. What I really appreciated about Spencer was his no-nonsense honesty. He told me that once the orthotics were made, I will take home the original molds - and that I would need to hold onto them, as it would be less expensive for me to come back to him to have new orthotics made when the time comes (I've heard of other places where they destroy your mold, & charge you again for a new one). Also, Spencer tells you that if you need any adjustments, they are included in the original price. He also makes 2 types of orthotics, & getting both at the same time provides a discount. It is totally worth it as they fit different types of shoes.

Three years ago a 160lb beer keg broke my right foot and long story short, it'll never fully heal. I'm a bartender who works on my feet every day and two different pairs of factory-made 'custom' orthodics made by crappy foam doctor's office molds just weren't cutting it. I finally bit the bullet and went to Spencer. The experience was worthwhile because he's a craftsman and he pays close attention and has the art of orthodics down to a science. His workshop is right off the examining room and he can address any/all feet issues to make sure you're well supported. I have crazy-high arches and a plantar fibroma that causes me discomfort in addition to the permanent damage from the break. He was able to address all of these things and I am very grateful.
