Stacy Cox, FNP

I unfortunately and unknowingly was stuck w/Stacy Cox (thinking she was the well-respected nurse practitioner who worked closely w/the extremely popular, hard to get into Primary Care Doc I had scheduled my visit w/ well in advance). Unfortunately the team I was there to see had a family emergency when I came in for my appt, & I was unexpectedly ill w/the worst sore throat, & (then) minor ear-pain. Ms. Cox refused to look at my throat. (I assumed I had strep, as I couldn't swallow, it was really painful & additionally the nt prior it had moved into my ear). I was misdiagnosed by her, lost my formerly perfect right ear-hearing as Ms Cox never looked to see the tonsillitis, let alone return calls or email when I reached out in excruciating pain. I called Ms Cox twice & emailed (via the patient portal) yet, she never responded. My final call was to share that I suddenly couldn't hear out of my rt ear. Vanderbilt & Otolaryngology of TN diagnosed me w/tonsillitis leading to hearing-loss.

I have been very impressed with Stacy. As an RN myself, I have high expectations for primary care practitioners.. Stacy definitely fits the bill! I feel very comfortable with her, and feel that she genuinely takes time with me and listens to/addresses all my concerns without being pushy or overbearing. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to manage their primary care!
