It seems this place is only interested in getting the patient to buy hearing aids. After a 10-15 minute hearing test in a little booth right next to the doctor's desk. I was told that I had significant hearing loss and needed to get hearing aids immediately or risk getting Alzheimer's and other diseases. I was not told what percentage of hearing loss I had in either ear. I have never had hearing loss. I went there for Vertigo testing. I have done this six years ago elsewhere and know that even a hearing test lasts at least 45 minutes and not at the doctor's desk. My reason for coming to Dr. Fulman (recommended) was treated as secondary and I was told to make another appointment so that they could take tests to "provoke" the onset of Vertigo. I was told upon making the appointment that the hearing test MUST be done first. I now have an appointment with a Hospital based Audiology Center on Staten Island. A 45 minute hearing test will be done not first but AFTER the VMG testing.
