Thorough, Educational, Compassionate
Our experience with Dr. Paulos was phenomenal. She took her time getting to know me and our son and had an incredible intuition on how to support us. The testing process was easy for my son: she and her team made sure to pace the day and tests with his mindset to ensure they were getting accurate information. But where Dr. Paulos most shines is in her thorough report and the parent consultation! I heard several times that this was the most thorough, helpful report they had ever seen. In the parent consultation, she identified our son's strengths and challenges, and helped connect the dots for behaviors we had come to see as personality traits. Most of all, she helped us shift our mindset on how we think about and support our son. It was one of the greatest gifts to understand our son better because she took her time to address our concerns and gave us suggestions on how to move forward with the new information. I cannot recommend Dr. Paulos highly enough!

Brought my daughter in for assessments for related to Autism Spectrum issues, with Dr Paulos. Like every other neuropsychologist,Dr., therapist and school in central TX-she was mis-diagnosed.. again and again and traumatized thru years of social issues and emotional angst that noone cared enough to explore deeper. academic performance trumps all concern for social and emotional wellness. Paulos admitted there is much misunderstanding and research to be done on autism in high functioning GIRLS yet insisted she DOESNT have it because she acts X, Y, or Z. Gotta be smarter than a teen who is smart and has learned to mask well. Yet they go to years of schoolFor this and should stay on top of the latest research and know how to tease through the issues and garner the support to help the struggling child. We moved out of TX after WASTED years thereand imm found our tribe, schools begging to help her, and partaking in a Yale study where she will further research and make lifelong connections!

Dr. Stephanie Paulos PHD will always have a special place in my heart. Her intervention with my best friend was life changing which otherwise would have ended in a life of misery.
