He has absolutely no understanding of mental and emotional abuse. The advice he gave was stay in a marriage that was clearly abusive and harmful, because he was more concerned about preserving the marriage than he was in helping the people in the marriage. I spent a significant time in therapy afterwards just to unravel all of the toxic and horrible "spiritual guidance" he gave. Don't go to him.

Male Biased! Shared information that was Inappropriate and negatively affected me. Had no interest in understanding my perspective. I have been fortunate to see amazing therapists and he is definitively not in that list. I would give a zero if it was an option.
