Dr. Stephen Purcell, PHD

Dr Purcell is understanding, validating, and the most effective therapist I’ve seen. He has the ability to give a person the gentle push they need to discover and do the work.

I was a patient of Dr. Purcell for 2+ years. He is great because he would really challenge you to think about your situation. He used a lot of the Cognitive-Behavioral therapy approach for my case and I must say, though I am still a working progress, I made many improvements. As a matter of fact, I am still using all that I learned, despite discontinuing our sessions. Lastly, I needed a therapist with a diverse background and someone who worked a lot with students at all levels (Undergraduate, Graduates, Fellows, etc...). His multicultural background made it easier to open up as I felt that he understood me and my situation.
