I think Dr. Scherer is a smart man, however, he can be quick to judge a circumstance and that can make it difficult to make progress with him. I felt he stepped out of line by pushing me into certain career paths that he idealized for me, that I had no real interest in, whilst also trying to steer me away from things I was passionate about but he feared. I feel he projects some of his insecurities and perceptions on to his patients, and I think for someone younger, that is potentially dangerous.
