This provider is more or less average. She fluctuates in willingness to connect with clients. She is frequently out of town and inaccessible. All calls are screened, but she will return calls. She seems to prefer texting which may be useful for those who don't like to use the phone but this also makes connection less personable. She is highly introverted. She seems to try hard to connect with clients early on but loses interest in the client over time becoming distant in interactions once rapport is established. If you just want to talk with someone a few times she could be an okay therapist for you. She is getting older so maybe she is burning out. That's how I felt as time went along. I saw this therapist for an extended period mostly because once I began my process, I didn't want to hop from therapist to therapist. My work is not about the therapist anyway. I did make some important gains, but I attribute my progress to my own work not to her.

First therapist I could safely & unapologetically explore who I was (incl. being honest about the mistakes I'd made) & who I wanted to be. I saw Susan for nearly 2 years- during that time I had struggled with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, fear, loneliness, co-dependency, you name it. I had a lot of trouble navigating some of my personal & professional relationships, but I always left our meetings with more clarity & confidence. She truly gave me a place to be myself & make my own decisions.
