Where is she going?

I've been seeing Susan Shields for over 15 years, except when insurance wants to play games and change my primary care physician which is happening again! I have to fight to find a way to keep on seeing her, because they have assigned me to a new doctor. She is amazing and listens to my health concerns and takes matters seriously. And I never really want to go to someone else. So, until I get this figured out with the insurance, I probably won't....

I thought PA Shields was amazing! She was attentive and listened to my medical history, working with me to figure out some treatment options. While I may not be the best patient interested in some of the recommendations, I appreciated her providing me with options rather than pushing me out the door or leaving me feeling unheard. I'd highly recommend her and I intend to continue using her as my primary care provider.

She dismissed my MRI showing a large pituitary either from birth or hyperplasia which can turn cancerous, forming tumors. She assumed I was born with it. I asked how if none of my previous scans showed this before. She got angry. "I'm just telling you what the report says." I can read, thanks, and what about hyperplasia? She refused to consider that. When I tried to ask questions or answer hers, she'd cut me off. I'm autistic and struggle to communicate verbally, by the way. She gaslighted me, saying that I'm "looking for things that aren't there," when my research and insistence on testing is what led to the MRI. She blamed me for not following up quickly enough with the ordering physician when I had the MRI days before my (Monday) appointment with her (scheduled months prior) and the MRI report released over the weekend. She's unbelievably rude for a 'caregiver.' You'll wait a long time for an appointment, and you could be growing a tumor in the meantime. See anyone else.

I gave one star to the review just because there is no 0 as an option, this is the worst practitioner we have had, long story short this Dr. is careless of your health, found more info and treatments about my illness on google rather than the person who is supposed to be a professional. Stay away from this office!

I've been seeing Susan for almost twenty years now. I've followed her to whatever medical group she's been to because she is the best. She is a life saver. I have a lot of complications and she was able to keep me stable and out of the hospital. She takes the time to listen to you and she takes the time to explain everything until you're satisfied and sure. Over the years, I've seen other doctors but no one can compare to her so I just go wherever she is. She is worth it.

From the first time I went to Susan, I trusted her. She was with a different group but when she left that group, I searched for her because I didn't want to see another provider. She is caring, listens and spends time with you unlike some providers that rush you out the door. Even though she works even further from me than before, I still trust her medical advice and continue to see her. Thank you Susan.

I can't thank her enough - or say enough about her. She takes the time to talk to you, and actually listens to what you have to say. I begged my friend to go see her because I didn't like the way her doctor was treating her. Dr Shields literally saved her life. Seriously touch and go for a while, but shes pulling through. Office is always clean, staff is very friendly and efficient too. I love the online set up they have. You get to see notes for each visit. Everything is right there.

Susan is a true asset to the health care community!! She listens and addresses all of your concerns. She is very thorough, caring, and makes you feel like you are the only patient she has. With this said, sometimes you may have to wait a little longer, but worth it.
