Ok, five minutes late but extremely professional and caring. I've never had anyone understand me like her. Perhaps it is just her style but she makes it easy to discuss difficult things and guides you to discover more about yourself instead of just telling you what to do. It's a process.

After reading the previous review I was hoping it was wrong but what I found was that it was spot on. She showed up late and first words were “I’m sorry, I’m always late”. I said “well that’s going to be a problem because I can’t be late to work “. She stumbled over her words and said “I’ll just not schedule you for my first appointment of the day” which just means everyone will be waiting on their appointment. She thinks the cause of my issues are due to a thyroid disorder because her daughter who lives in atlanta is an endocrinologist and a specialist. Bottom line is she is clueless and there is something wrong with a client knowing more about their therapists’ personal life than they know about their client. I had to actually stop her ranting to say “can we get back to me”. She shouldn’t be advising people on managing their lives as hers is clearly a mess. Don’t be like me and think these reviews might just be wrong because they couldn’t be more right.

After toughing it out for 5 sessions, I concluded that she is extremely unprofessional. Chronically late to appointments (10-15 min +), talks incessantly about herself & her family...to the point where it's awkward (I even checked myself into a flight while waiting for her to finish, hoping to send her a social cue), told me I reminded her of an ex-friend she doesn't speak to anymore, not able to build a bridge between two ideas (jumps to conclusions because she doesn't follow the entire thought process), told me what my feelings were (instead of asking me how I felt), and didn't seem to take sessions very seriously. Another example, is when my partner asked for reading material on a pertinent subject - she said she'd look into it and have some recommendations for our next session. When we asked about it in our next session she said ,"I honestly haven't even thought about it." I would describe her as brash, unsophisticated, and somewhere between simpleminded and flippant.
