My daughter saw Dr. Fuhrman at the beginning of middle school for irritability and sleep issues. These were as I now know the early signs of depression and anxiety. Dr. Fuhrman, though a nice woman, was no help to my daughter or family. Seeing her was such a waste of time in our daughter's journey to get help. Her type of therapy is using the reflective speech of therapists in the 1970s. "How does that make you feel...tell me more...yes, uh-huh". There is a place for that, but that's all she does. She never directed the conversation toward learning, using coping tools, etc. Stay away if you don't want to waste your money and precious time.
