Dr. Tessa Poirier Elliott, DPT

Dr. Tessa Elliott, PhD, is praiseworthy. Her techniques, knowledge, curiosity, investigative mind, communication skills (she explains things clearly, but she also listens intently) have improved my quality of life. I have tried numerous other practitioners for pain relief, and I must say I have improved more with Dr. Elliott’s natural treatment plan and exercises than I have with other PT and injections. Dr. Elliott’s personality is consistent at every appointment. You can tell she loves her job, and her wealth of knowledge of how the entire body functions is impressive. She makes you feel comfortable, and at ease to discuss sensitive medical details. I highly recommend becoming her patient! I rate her A++. (P.S. you need to be consistent with the exercises and treatment plan she provides for you)??

I had the privilege of being cared for by Dr. Tessa Elliot after I had pelvic floor injury resulting in weak muscles after the delivery of my second child. I am so glad that my insurance covered visits with Dr. Elliot, and I was even able to do virtual visits during the pandemic. Physical therapy helped me improve my symptoms slowly over time. My younger child is now 2.5 years old. Dr. Elliot is a fantastic provider and a great coach. I am doing so much better, all thanks to the techniques and strategies Dr. Elliot taught me, which I still use today! I am so glad that I am able to have a better quality of life with these pelvic floor exercises. I highly recommend Dr. Elliot for pelvic floor physical therapy!

I worked with Tessa for 4 months postpartum to help restore my pelvic floor after a significant tear and not only did she help me get to feeling like myself, but has taught me ways to even improve beyond my baseline. I can't recommend Tessa enough when it comes to addressing issues with incontinence and vaginal healing after tears. She is a great listener, uses the best science for therapy and teaching behavioral change, and sets realistic goals with you.

Tessa was my physical therapist for 10 sessions of pelvic floor rehab. I found her to be not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also caring, kind, gentle, thoughtful, and compassionate. By the end of our sessions, I felt that I had learned more and made more progress in healing than I had by working with numerous doctors and taking multiple, costly medications before the therapy.

Tessa is a great pelvic floor physical therapist. She made me feel at ease throughout my treatments and was very helpful in guiding me to other medical professionals as needed. She helped me go from living with almost daily pain to only occasional minor pain. I credit her with helping me to get my life back.

I love Ms. Tessa! She did such a wonderful job calming me and explaining my treatment plan and options! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the room where we were was... not the best. It was limiting, it didn’t feel comfortable, and I had a hard time relaxing. If the space was more comfortable, I would definitely have given 5 stars!

Dr. Elliott made me feel so comfortable and was so empathetic. She not only listened to everything I said, but she also took the time to explain everything she was doing for me in a way that I understood. She made me feel hopeful and safe for the first time in a long time. Highly recommend!!
