Dr. Thomas Walter, DPT

It was a wintery Sunday morning and I was in terrible pain. Tom walks in and LISTENED to me and ask questions examined my shoulder. Then sat and reviewed my films. He explained what his impression was and the plan. He was very pleasant and professional!

Dr. Walter was very helpful. He answered all of my questions and provided practical suggestions for me to pursue for treatment. Most helpful was his interpretation of my X-Ray and how it related to the pain I was experiencing.

Dr Walter immediately suspected that my injury was serious and he internally consulted with my surgeon. This expedited the procedure. My first appointment was at the Ouch Clinic on Sunday and my surgery was on Wednesday. Thanks for caring and going the extra mile for me

Staff and provider were friendly, got me right in at OIP Injury clinic & helped my knee pain. The PA was open to my preference to get a steroid injection rather than oral medication and administered the injection practically painlessly!

I didn't have to wait long. The staff was friendly and the doctor was thorough explaining what options I have and he recommends other doctors that are excellent in the medical field that pertains to any health issues.

No waiting. No extra charges. Immediate diagnosis and care. Professional !

Tom and his team, including wonderful Sandy, are consistently phenomenal! I get trigger-point injections every two months to help reduce inflammation in my neck. These help prevent migraines for me and make a significant difference in quality of life. Tom is very skilled at giving the injections exactly where needed, and he and his team are efficient and kind. Because of their organizational and time-management skills, the appointments are almost always on time or early, which is a wonderful bonus and quite rare in today's medical world! I highly recommend Tom Walter, Sandy, and the team.

I went to OIP on a Sunday afternoon after aggravating an old lower-back injury, and my entire visit was incredibly smooth and quick. I was only in the waiting room for about 5 minutes, then back to imaging for 5 minutes, then Dr. Walter came in to see me shortly thereafter. He listened to my issues, didn’t rush me or his exam, made sure he was clear with his instructions, and I was able to pick up my prescriptions within 30 minutes of leaving. (I don’t take that for granted, it can take a day or two for some really good providers to send an rx to the pharmacy.)Very impressed!

Had x-rays taken. Dr Walter may have glanced at them. He certainly did not LOOK at them or explain anything to me. Ran me through some physical tests so fast he was onto the next one before I could even answer. I would guess from the time he entered the room till he left was probably around 3 minutes. Fastest Doctor appointment in my life. Not a fan! Everyone else I had contact with in the office was great.

Was not very interested in what I had to say. He would ask a question then start talking before I finished. He needs to polish up his listening skills.

In and out within 30 minutes. Every team member was professional and personable. Friendly, informal atmosphere, with thorough, detail- oriented and patient-focused procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Walter, and commend the administrative and clinical staff.

Dr was congenial, found the break on xray, prescribed what I needed. Could have been a little more informative. (I do not ask enough questions)

From the first appointment I was happy with my orthopedic Tom Walter, PA. He was very interested and asked me questions about my injury, and listened to my responses. He was and still is involved with my care and I recommend him highly.

My family doctor faxed a referral to OIP pain management to request an appointment asap. One week later, after no response, I called their office and the secretary told me the fax was there but wasn't given to her. She scheduled me with Dr. Walter the following week. Appointment day finally arrived. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because my experience with the front desk was excellent and speedy. What I didn't appreciate was the speedy visit with Dr. Walter. I needed to find out more about my condition before making a decision on an invasive treatment. He spoke as though that was my only option until I asked about any other possible options?? He acted like he had no time or patience to elaborate on anything. No empathy was portrayed. I was just another number.

Walked in and was taken care of very quickly. Staff were very friendly. Very busy place, but I was treated very well. Highly recommend!

This provider was smart, competent and interested. He was not rushed. He understood my problem and scheduled the appropriate study. He earned five stars. !!!
