Would Definitely Not Recommend
Would NOT recommend this counselor. Ms. Hopkins didn't seem very professional to me. She frequently cuts appointments short for her own personal issues and conflicts. Her counseling techniques are childish and seem more suited for very young patients. I didn't find any of her sessions helpful. More problematic, she is extremely biased. She appears to be one of these rightwing "evangelicals." During one session, she kept quizzing me about my own religion, which was VERY uncomfortable and not even relevant to the issue I was being seen for, and it felt very inappropriate. She seemed weirdly eager to bring "religion" into every session, so I finally decided this was DEFINITELY not working for me. I've been to a lot of other MUCH BETTER counsellors than this lady, real professionals who can actually help people.
