My sister went in to discuss potential adhd; Searle ended up taking her off of the antidepressant that was working for her, telling her that she was bipolar, and putting her on lamotrigine to treat her "bipolar" disorder. This was all without a thorough exam. Needless to say, as she is NOT bipolar, the medication was horrible, and lead to many side effects that it is well known to cause (if you take even a moment to look). When she went in to be taken off of the lamotrigine and be put back on the original antidepressant, Searle had the audacity to try to put her on an anti-psychotic to help with her "agitation". She was "agitated"(no, just pissed) because of Searle's incompetence, not a mental disorder. The final straw was when Searle unironically asked "what do you want me to do"? Coming from a medical background myself, any medical professional who doesn't know the difference between mania and anxiety shouldn't be treating patients for any sort of mental health disorder.
