Nice but not for everyone
Not for folks who are neurodivergent or have chronic illness. Valerie is a nice person who seems to want results for clients do badly that she is more fixed on the progress she wants to see than where the person is at and what they are capable of. She seems to really struggle and become frustrated by neurodivergent folks.

Really listens, is genuinely there to HELP YOU
There’s not enough room for me to list all of the wonderful things I could say about this woman. She is patient, kind, attentive, thoughtful, understanding, compassionate, genuine, resourceful, and honestly invested in helping her patients help themselves find a path to healing. I have PTSD and agoraphobia with avoidance behaviors and trust issues thanks to a lifetime of trauma experienced. She IS trustworthy, she’s diligent, she ACTUALLY listens, and she actually CARES. Having seen other therapists, LCSWs, & counselors in the past who DIDN’T help and who FELT CLINICAL, as I imagine most do, I can say that Valerie is cut from a different cloth. Visits with her were never really “EASY” because of the content I had to dredge up, but in the roughly 4 years I was lucky enough to be a patient of hers, I realized I thought of her more as a friend than a therapist. I miss her. I even miss my painful visits with her. I hope someday I’ll be able to resume my journey with her helpful guidance.
