Dr. Valerie Tolbert, PHD

Dr. Tolbert beyond exceeded the expectations i had (they weren’t good. I’ve worked with the VA up till this point, so I figured this would be no different/ a terrible experience. I was wrong ! She’s phenomenal!). She was so understanding with any and all of my concerns / struggles , she listened to me vent (she did not have to do this, the appointment was for evaluation purposes only. ) she provided multiple resources I could seek if my current agency isn’t really working for me as it should. She took time to educate me on panic attacks as they’d become the bane of my social existence for some time. She made it clear what they were and what was happening and that I was okay. That knowing what they are doesn’t stop them but knowing that there’s nothing WRONG with your body and this is something I will work to live with was reassuring. It may sound silly to some , but that’s a type of reassurance I didn’t know I needed. Sorry I’m ranting because I want to really paint a picture of her genuinely amazing care. If I got this out of an evaluation I could only imagine being under her care. Haha okay rant over. Conclusion = She’s amazing, and if you’re looking for a mental health professional in Las Vegas this woman is who you should contact !

Not only would I recommend Dr. Tolbert to my family and friends(if I had any) I would highly recommend her to absolutely anyone. She is probably the kindest and most caring person that I know. And I don’t like anybody. But she is so nice! I’ve been to many other psychologists throughout my life and I would have to say that she seems to WANT to help me which is a refreshing change from all the others.

Dr. Tolbert understood me. She's the best@
