Purely coincidence, I met with Dr. McDuffee twice! Once for my first C&P Exam with QTC, and again for my second, supplemental claim C&P Exam with VES. Both times I found her absolutely wonderful to work with. I have an extremely hard time discussing my mental health, but she was understanding, compassionate, and helped me feel comfortable opening up. I have no idea what the negative reviews are talking about- since I cant imagine her being anything but helpful, caring, and kind. Perhaps they are reviewing the wrong doctor. I highly recommend her, and if you were like me doing research on your C&P evaluator prior to your exam- dont worry!

First and last visit.

I have never been to a doctor’s appointment with such a hostile provider until this visit. What was suppose to be an assessment evolved into just blaming me for all my health problems and telling me I wasn’t doing good enough. She belittled my attempted suicide and began to say how I am responsible for my disposition and how my kids would likely commit suicide themselves, too. She was completely unsupportive and made me feel worse about my mental health. She should not be interacting with patients.

I had a C&P exam with DR. Mcduffee, She was very thorough, and straightforward. She let me talk and explain things, while she listened. She was awesome! I felt like she cared about my symptoms and my MH.

My Father and I had an appointment last week with Dr. Victoria L Mcduffee PHD, after reading reviews that were so negative, I felt that I should write our perceptions of her and our experience in that appointment. SHE WAS AMAZING, this was for a PTSD C&P evaluation through the VA, having attended these before, we were not expecting much. We were so surprised to be completely wrong she is a professional and so obviously skilled at bringing out uncomfortable discussions without over whelming the veteran. She was able to listen and catch key points that were subtle, basically sorting the wheat from the chaff and when formulating her questions able to stay on the subject not get pulled in another direction due to heightened emotions. Yes, she was serious get down to business and not a hold your hand rub your back feel the warm fuzzies type of a doctor (for that appointment) but that is not what we were there for. She was an extremely professional, skilled and to the point in a kind and se

Sad to see that there are several negative ratings. At first I was caught off guard when she said it looked as if I didn't want to be in the clinic. This was true as I have had numerous C&P exams that were demonstrably worthless. Not only did I have more than ample time to elaborate on my issues, she went beyond the norm and compassionately provided me with education on pain management and didn't rush things even though we were far over the allotted time. This woman changed my life and my family's life for the absolute better. I would never be able to express how grateful I am to Dr. McDuffee. She is by far and away the best mental health provider I have had in 12 years of dealing with VBA.

I saw Dr. McDuffee for the VA for a PTSD reevaluation. She spent the first 5 minutes on her phone texting with one finger while I sat there. During questioning, I stated that I grew up poor and section 8 housing. She then asked if I had any friends because it sounds like I had an awful childhood when I only stated I grew up poor and in section 8 housing. When she asked if I had attempted suicide, I stated I have, and she continually kept asking why I didn't go through with it while ending that line of questioning saying those people who really want to commit suicide go through with it. She was hostile and combative the entire time. Every time I asked for clarification to a question she would rudely reply that it is a simple question yes or no, and when I would answer yes or no, she would stare at me like I was an idiot, then she would want an explanation of why I said yes or not. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

For being a provider Dr. McDuffee was very negative about other providers and shaming. Moreover, she appears to be in state of mind that is not healthy for herself or any of her clients. Lastly, she was very controlling and did not give me time to speak.
