The visit was fine. The billing practices were not. During the scheduling for the session and during the initial session I clearly and specifically asked if she took Aetna Insurance. She clarified “yes” as well as her assistant did as well. I found out later that she was “out of network” and I am now on the hook for the out of pocket costs. You better clarify and get in writing the determination. She will not work with me on the cost.
