Bill Ford was my first therapist when I was 15. I would try and communicate the feelings of hopelessness and depression through music, and he would get annoyed and say how he could write better music, which while I personally doubted, was either way, missing the point. My psychiatrist at Dewey at the time, Mark was significantly better. The building was really interesting though, historic. My brother had been seeing him at the time as well, and I'm not sure if a 16 year old still has patient/provider confidentiality, but Bill would tell my Mom that my brother was smoking pot. I'm not sure if that's legal or not, but it certainly did help his credibility with my brother. I'm not sure if Bill's rock career ever took off, but he couldn't have been worse at that than he was at helping people with mental health problems.

Don’t go to him for OCD. I did not find him helpful or pleasant at all. I don’t think he knows how to treat an OCD patient. He made me feel crazy and pushed ADD meds on me.
