Very preachy and not very helpful
Ehh, it was probably my least helpful experience with a therapist. He would talk on and on about his problems, his life, and would preach god at me. I didn't feel heard and I didn't feel he helped me much. I tried to tell him gently that I didn't want religion or god to be involved in my therapy, but he would just counter me by saying, 'I was just not shown god properly.' It was very uncomfortable and I eventually just had to be completely blunt with him to get him to stop. He would constantly cut me off to discuss his life and his problems. I felt like I was paying him for him to talk to me about his issues. He brought in a lot of his opinions, biases, and life experiences into the sessions and I never felt we got anywhere on addressing my issues. He was also never on time, making me wait upwards to 20 minutes. He did not change his clocks for daylights savings and he made me feel gaslit for calling him to let him know he was late. I would take off work early for his appointments too.

Super helpful psychologist
This mental health professional knew what he was doing with me right out of the gate. Ok. Yes. He does take payment up front, but explained that copays are required to be collect at the time of the appointment according to insurance rules. And yes, he does charge for late cancellations, but if there is a bonafide medical emergency or you have made your appointments regularly, he will make some exceptions like cut the fee down or even reschedule the same day if he has availability (did both with me for the same late notice). Does he share his personal experiences? Yes, at times, but he has been very selective about this and seems to only share relevant things to build rapport as he did with me. I have found his services to be professional beyond reproach and it seems that the complainers were mostly upset about having to pay a fee. Nothing in this world is free.

Could not be more disappointed. Went to look for a therapist for the first time in 15 years and as I reached out to a few, Zach was the first to respond. He called me an hour after submitting the request and was able to book me in next day (red flag #1) I go to the office, which is fine - as soon as I walk in, he immediately asks "how will I be taking care of payment"... I get it's a business... how about a hello why did you come to therapy today first? Lol We spent half the convo talking about him and his D1 wrestling son... he wanted to tell me everything about his life and himself and how he thinks.. I found myself thinking multiple times through the session "did I just pay $185 to listen to Zach talk about himself?" His cancellation policy is Friday - I texted him on the Friday before our second appointment (5 days notice) and told him I wouldn't be able to make it. His only response "ok. I will have to charge your cancellation fee" and "if you do not pay I will report you to all three credit bureaus" ..... with 5 days notice, on the second appointment. No grace, no care. At the end of the day, it was difficult for me to reach out and tell someone things about myself that I don't reveal to many... only to be met with self-centered talk and a clear care of the $$ more than the patient. Please, if you are considering therapy - save yourself the $500 and do NOT use Zach

I got nothing out of it
Used to see dr borynack and he pretty much made the session about himself. As someone who has low self esteem and feels that he wasn’t being heard it was very upsetting. I kept going back longer than I should have due to the same reasons. I never really got around to my issues because I of fear of opening up to others. He never gained my trust. I finally had to make an excuse and said something came up and never rescheduled

Dr. Borynack has been extremely helpful to me and I would recommend him to anyone needing a psychologist. He is very personable and creates a safe, caring environment. Dr. B always takes the time to work through whatever is needed in our sessions and he has taken my phone calls when I have had questions or needed help outside of our sessions. I can’t imagine anyone not benefiting from his services. Highly recommend him to anyone who is ready to make real progress.

I would recommend this psychologist to anyone. He is caring, compassionate, and a good listener. Dr. Zac does talk about himself at times, but I have never found this to be a distraction to my sessions. In fact, he seems to only share things that are relevant to our session and helpful for me to feel heard and understood. If you want honesty and to really deal with problems, this is the psychologist for you. He can cut to the chase; really focus on what the central issue is. Highly recommend

Dr. Borynack has been extremely helpful. He is always running on time, and is professional and organized. His office is a very welcoming space and I have never felt uncomfortable there. He seems to genuinely care, and is always focused on helping me with my issues. He is easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and more than competent. He takes the time to explain himself and makes sure I always know what is going on in our sessions.

Outstanding psychologist. Clearly there is someone who is not happy with something Dr. B may have said and is writing multiple reviews to smear his name. Dr. B takes the time to talk to you on the phone and doesn't charge a dime when it is needed. He is flexible with his appointments and sees people late into the evening which is great for me and probably lots of other people. He is caring and empathic and seems to be focused and motivated on helping you solve your problems. Highly recommend

To be blunt, Dr. Borynack creeps me out. He said things that I have never before heard of a therapist saying, and it was very odd. I feel like his own personal biases make regular appearances in the sessions, and I often wondered who was having the counseling; it was as though he was trying to work out his own personal demons in my sessions. I finally told him that I wouldn't be coming back to see him, at which point he sent a text message stating that he would be terminating our sessions. Weird

I felt he's a great person as well as very respectful and courteous, but was not a good fit for me. Gave good day to day advice but when it came to dealing with real deep rooted issues I felt he did little to help me. Did hi-jack sessions on occasion. Was very knowledgeable just not as compassionate or sympathetic in taking my issues seriously. Would end the session 5-7 min early which consistently bothered me. Regardless he made me feel very safe in the environment and was extremely kind to me
