Biography: Dr. Anna Moniodis is a board-certified pulmonologist and the co-director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at the Austin Heart Hospital of Austin.Dr. Moniodis attended the University of Michigan near her hometown in Ann Arbor, MI, and subsequently earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She then completed her internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian-Columbia, and her pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital while serving as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School. In addition to pulmonary disease, she is board certified in internal medicine and critical care medicine.Prior to joining Austin Heart, Dr. Moniodis was an assistant clinical professor at Columbia University and a full-time pulmonary and critical care attending at Stamford Hospital. During this time, she was recognized as both the Attending and Specialist of the Year, and was featured in the media as an emerging leader for women in medicine.Dr. Moniodis' interests include pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary vascular disease, with a special interest in pulmonary hypertension in the setting of chronic lung disease. She has published original research in chronic lung disease that she presented nationally, and she was a recipient of the Professional Scholarship Award from the American Thoracic Society. In her free time, she enjoys cooking Greek cuisine and spending time with her husband and three children.Dr. Moniodis is an active physician member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and she is excited to work collaboratively with the cardiologists at Austin Heart.
