Biography: Tiffany Anthony, MD, Surgical Director of Liver Transplantation, is a Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon who specializes in liver, kidney, and kidney-pancreas transplantation. Dr. Anthony started her career as a transplant surgeon in Dallas-Ft. Worth in 2008 at the Methodist Dallas Transplant Institute. She has served as the Director of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant and Robotic Kidney Donor Program at the Baylor Simmons Transplant Institute, and was a member of the landmark uterine transplant clinical trial. Dr. Anthony has served as the Medical Director of Southwest Transplant Alliance, and is the current President of the Texas Transplantation Society, working to improve the lives of transplant patients throughout the region. Dr. Anthony received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she also completed her general surgery residency. She then completed her research fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine in Newhaven, Connecticut, and transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois.When not working, Dr. Anthony enjoys traveling the world, and has been a physician participant in several medical missions.

Biography: Stephen Cheng, MD is a transplant surgeon at Medical City Abdominal Transplant & Hepatobiliary Specialists in Dallas. Biography: Dr. Faheem Ahmed received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Queens General Hospital, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He received his Hematology and Oncology training at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. After obtaining Hematology Oncology training he worked at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Texas and worked as medical oncology provider in a community practice and Veterans Affairs Medical Center.He joined Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy training at Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at South Austin Medical Center as a fellow and completed his training. He had long affiliation Texas Transplant Physician Group at St. David's South Austin Medical Center where he became part of the team after completing his training.Dr. Ahmed specializes in treatment of hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T cell therapy to treat malignant and non-malignant blood and lymphoid disorders.Beyond his extensive training and expertise, Dr. Faheem Ahmed is deeply committed to the compassionate and attentive care of his patients. He believes in the importance of listening to his patients, understanding their concerns, and involving them in their treatment plans. Biography: Juan Ortiz, MD is a board-certified transplant surgeon. Dr. Ortiz's clinical interests include liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, as well as hepatobiliary surgery. He is interested in health outcomes research, particularly in health care disparities. Dr. Ortiz is also interested in surgical resident and medical student education, and he was awarded the Resident as Teacher Award as a transplant surgery fellow at Northwestern. Dr. Ortiz received his Medical Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Afterwards he joined the University of Arizona where he served as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in addition to his role as the Director of Hispanic Transplant Program. He has presented a wide range of research at various academic medicine gatherings, and he participated in Harvard Medical School's Visiting Research and Internship Program.Before joining North Texas Surgical and Transplant, Dr. Ortiz completed a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Washington. Dr. Ortiz speaks fluent English and Spanish. He believes that every patient should be treated as a whole unique individual with the utmost care and compassion. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ortiz enjoys playing soccer, reading and hiking.
