Biography: I am licensed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island with 26 years working in the areas of Child Protection, Emergency Psychiatric Evaluations, Substance Use Disorders, Trauma, Partner/Spousal abuse and private practice therapeutic work using an eclectic approach tayloring treatment to the needs of each individual - as well as being trained in EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. I have worked with a diverse population and a wide range of emotional issues. Subject matter expertise in public policy advocacy, community organizing, grant writing, budgeting, medical social work and case management with vulnerable adult and youth populations. Previously on Texas Council Board for Children's Special Initiatives. Love to present to groups on various trauma and mental health topics for CEU opportunities, excellent oral and written communicator highly skilled in developing and presenting curriculum, database management and ability to multitask and handle complex situations. I have worked at the VA and I have experience with military families, having been a part of my family of origin and my current family. Counseling modalities include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, OCD-ERP, Trauma Informed Care and Stages of Change.

I like to collaborate with clients to achieve their ultimate goals and to help them recognize and take advantages of the many strengths that they have developed throughout their lives.
