Biography: Dr. Mindy Gentry is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. After graduating from Georgia Institute of Technology, she earned her medical degree in 2000 from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Gentry remained in Augusta to complete her residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship, where she was selected to serve as both chief medical resident and chief cardiology fellow.In 2007, she became an assistant professor of medicine and the medical director for both the Women's Cardiovascular Disease program and the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at the Medical College of Georgia. Her special interests include cardiac imaging, women and heart disease, and heart disease during pregnancy.Dr. Gentry joined Wellstar in October 2010 and is currently on staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.Dr. Gentry is married and the proud parent of three daughters. Her hobbies include traveling, exercising and playing golf.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Verstraete has always had an interest in learning how things work. Throughout high school, she became more interested in human bodies and their function. Working in family medicine, she gets to see a little bit of everything. &#8220Each day brings a unique challenge, but I also get to know my patients and see them over the course of their life.&#8221 Dr. Verstraete enjoys being able to follow patients through their health journey, whether that be a few months or many years &#8211 getting to help them gradually improve their health.In her spare time, Dr. Verstraete enjoys hiking, bicycling, knitting and gardening.&#8220I want to help each of my patients be as healthy as they can possibly be! Working with each patient to find the best solution(s) for their health concerns is so fulfilling. I have a particular interest in using lifestyle changes to improve a patient&#8217s current health concern, as well as their overall health.”

Biography: Dr. Sajja is board certified in internal medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and nuclear cardiology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Sajja completed his internal medicine internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University and his residency at Drexel University. He also completed a fellowship inCardiovascular Diseaseat West Virginia University.His special interests include coronary artery disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Dr. Sajja joined Wellstar Medical Group, Cardiovascular Medicine in April 2009. He is currently on staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Dr. Sajja is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is fluent in Telugu.
